We record the death of William S. s/o John McMORRAN, Esq., St. John who died Wednesday morn. in this city. On Monday morn. he felt well enough to go out and attend to business, but had to leave it and go to his boarding house. On Wednesday eve. 11 o'clock, the cold hand of death was laid upon him. On Friday 2 o'clock his body was deposited in Greenwood Cemetery. His disease was pronounced Typhoid Fever He came to New York in August 1865. He was first employed as assistant book-keeper in a gold pen-house in Maiden Lane; from thence he took a position in the "Leather Manufacturers Bank", Wall St. From the Bank he entered the employment of James W. ELWELL & Co., Ship Brokers, 57 South St. (signed) S.J.A., New York, 30 June 1866. (see original)
