Mrs. Thomas BLIZZARD of McDonald's Point (Queens Co.) will be 105 years old tomorrow and some 70 or 80 descendants are expected to gather at the home of her daughter, Mrs. SMITH, to celebrate the day. Mrs. Blizzard has 180 descendants living, 10 sons and daughters, 67 grandchildren and 103 great-grandchildren. The 'Telegraph' this morn. prints out an excellently executed cut of Mrs. Blizzard and also of a family group showing herself and her ten sons and daughters. Half the sons and daughters have passed the allotted three score years and ten, the eldest son being in his 82nd year and the eldest daughter is in her 78th. Mrs. Blizzard was born in the parish of Gagetown, Aug. 16, 1792 and on Nov. 19, 1811, at the age of 19, was married to Thomas BLIZZARD who was 9 mos. her junior. The marriage took place at Cambridge. Their married life continued for nearly three score years, Mr. Blizzard dying in St. John in the autumn of 1868 at the age of 77. No less than 16 children, eight sons and eight daughters, were born to them, only one of whom died in infancy. The surviving sons and daughters are: Oliver BLIZZARD of the Narrows, Washademoak Lake, born 1815; John BLIZZARD, Bridge St., St. John, born 1817; Sarah BLIZZARD, widow of John SCRIBER, Limerick, Me., born 1819; Fannie E. BLIZZARD w/o James HAMM, Narrows, Washademoak Lake, born 1823; Mary BLIZZARD, widow of Thomas MEAD, Main St., St. John, born 1824; Margaret Jane BLIZZARD wife of George BLACK, Main St., born 1827; Isabella BLIZZARD, widow of William B. SMITH, McDonald's Point, born 1830; Phebe Ann BLIZZARD, widow of Thomas WATSON, Waterloo St., St. John, born 1832; Thomas William BLIZZARD, Kennedy St., St. John, born 1834; Lucy M. BLIZZARD, wife of Samuel HAMM, Elm St., St. John, born 1838.
