The interment of the remains of Mrs. Janet JARDINE took place yesterday. Mrs. J. was born in Dumfries and in 1834 she bid adieu to the hills and glens of Scotland ... A few years after she lived in her new home (N.B), Providence called her earthly partner to himself... Thirty years she was permitted to sojourn with her family as a widowed Pilgrim, before her Maker, in His good wisdom, called her home ... On Christmas night about 7 o'clock she breathed her last, aged 93 years and some months, being the parent of 12 children, 64 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren ... (signed) G.A.C. at Kingston (Kent Co.) Dec. 28 (see original)
