Mrs. Stephen HUMPHREY of Sunny Brae, widow of late Rev. Stephen HUMPHREY, who has been in Bermuda for several months past with her daughter, Miss Laura HUMPHREY, arrived home on Friday. It will be remembered that Miss Humphrey left here some months ago for Bermuda for the benefit of her health, but which unfortunately she never regained and the news of her death was conveyed to relatives and friends by Mrs. Humphrey. Her death occurred Wednesday, March 30th, the funeral taking place on the following Saturday. She was buried alongside her father and sister, who died and were buried in Bermuda a number of years ago. Miss Humphrey while here took an active part in the affairs of the Methodist church of which she was a member. Three or four years ago she presented the land on which is built the Sunny Brae Mission Hall and last year she gavce land for the erection of an orphanage at Sunny Brae. The deceased was a niece of John A. HUMPHREY of Humphrey's Mills and sister of William HUMPHREY, Stephen HUMPHREY and Herbert HUMPHREY.
