Woodstock, May 5 - Yesterday there came to Grafton (Carleton Co.) two young travellers whose history has been an eventful one and whose journey commenced March 8th in another hemisphere. Their parents were missionaries, Rev. A.B. BOYER and wife, who sailed for Balasore, India seven years ago next November under the direction of the Free Baptist Missionary society of N.B. Two years agi next June Mr. Boyer died after a short illness of typhoid fever. Two little girls were left to his wife's care. Rilla BOYER, the youngest, was slight and frail. The childen were placed in the care of Dr. Nellie PHILLIPS who sailed from India March 8th in the steamer "Churan" which reached London April 12th. On the 20th they left Liverpool in the "Bothnia" of the Cunard Line which reached Boston the 30th where the children were men by Mrs. SHEA, Mrs. Boyer's mother. and on the 3rd inst. their journey of more than 13,000 miles was ended. I saw the children yesterday. Bessie BOYER, the eldest is 6 years old and evidently feels the protector of her frail little sister Rillas who is only 4. (see original)
