d. Moncton Road, Shediac Parish (West. Co.) 16th March, Capt. Sylvain BABINEAU, age 91 years 2 mos. 1 day, native of Petiticodiac, for a long time capatin in the militia. At one time he offered as a candidate for the House of Assembly in opposition to late Amand LANDRY, but was not elected. He had fifteen children, of whom eleven survive, 114 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. His second wife survives him.
