E. Ruth PEARSON w/o George PEARSON, died Thursday morn. Deceased had not been very strong during the past year. She was not well during the past fortnight and on Monday night was stricken down with pneumonia. At the time of her death she was surrounded by all her family. There are three sons and four daughters living and one son and one daughter dead. They are Howard PEARSON and Mary PEARSON who live at home; Bessie ADAIR w/o A.L. ADAIR at Apohaqui; George N. PEARSON, a doctor in Sussex; Alice PEARSON, a nurse in Newton College Hospital, Mass.; Albert E. PEARSON, principal of Bustouche School and Ida PEARSON, who is also a teacher. Just two months ago, her second son, John PEARSON, died at Spencer, Mass. and Emma PEARSON, w/o A.W. RANKINE of St. Martins, died six years ago. Deceased was born in 1827 and married in 1850. She was the d/o late James SECORD, her mother being Anne SHARP of Millstream. Her four grandparents were Loyalists. Her grandfather Secord settled at Oak Point on Long Reach. When her father married, he settled in Studholm near what is now Apohaqui. She leaves one brother and two sisters - John SECORD of Hot Springs, Ark., Mrs. Julia KING widow of Dr. John KING, formerly of Sussex and Mrs. Cornelius McINTYRE of Sussex. Deceased was a woman who dearly loved her family and her home and would seldom leave it even for a day. Her remains will be interred in the cemetery at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Saturday 17th inst. Services will be conducted by Rev. H.W. Little.
