On Saturday morn., R. DEAN of Pisarinco (St. John) was driving an ox on his farm, when the beast took it into his head to run away. In trying to stop him, Mr. Dean was thrown to the ground and a hook, which was attached to the ox by a rope, caught in his clothing. He was dragged in this manner a short distance when his clothing gave way. When picked up Mr. Dean was found to be very badly bruised about the body. The following day death ensued as a result of his injuries. The deceased was in his 69th year and leaves a grown-up family.
