About noon on Saturday, Mabel TAPLEY, whose parents reside on Brunswick St., gave birth to an illegitimate child. No physician was called in until about 7 o'clock on the same eve. Shortly after the arrival of the doctor, the child expired and upon examination of the infant Dr. Bridges observed several abrasions on its neck which aroused his suspicions that something might be wrong in the case.
