Fred STONE s/o Joseph R. STONE of this city, who is studying electrical engineering at Worcester, Mass., met with a painful accident at that place a few days ago. Mr. Stone, in starting an engine in the machinery dept., had one of his feet caught. The foot was badly torn and several bones broken. Mr. Stone was one of the prominent athletes of his college and was expected to compete in the New England championship race on Saturday. His injury will prevent that, if it does not compel him to give up athletics entirely.
