Mrs. Walter Welling of Lutes St. received a despatch Tuesday afternoon from the superintendent of Lowell & Maine Railway, Boston to the effect that her husband, Walter WELLING had received injuries while braking on the above named road. The accident happened by the unfortunate man coming in contact with an overhead bridge while on top of the cars. A despatch received yesterday afternoon states that Mr. Welling is still unconscious and the injuries received are very serious. Mr. Welling, until about a month ago, was a conductor on the I.C.R. and about a year ago met with a serious accident in Moncton yard. A brother of Mr. Welling, an operator at Calhoun's mills, left last eve. for Boston to attend him.
