It appears that Saturday afternoon Alex. McNEIL, ferryman between Hopewell Cape (Albert Co.) and Dorchester Island, Charles CRAWFORD and a man named THOMSON, workmen in Chipman's Shipyard started from the Cape to come to the Island. The last that was seen of them they were off Fort Folly, just entering the Dorchester River at about 6 o'clock. Nothing has since been seen of the men or the boat and the supposition is that they were drowned. (see original) (confirmation of drowning - see 28 March 1874 D.T.)
