Four sailors went over to Carleton (St. John) late on Saturday night being pretty well intoxicated. John MORRIS, belonged to brig "Ellen Vail" lying at Rodney Wharf. In attempting to descend on board his vessel by means of a ladder, he fell down between the brig and the wharf to the rocks below cutting his scalp badly. The wound extended from the left ear over the head to the opposite side. Dr. Peters was called and attended to the sailor. It was then feared that the man was injured internally. He continued to grow worse and on Sunday afternoon was sent to hospital. The vessel is from Liverpool, N.S.
