d. At residence of her son, Anderson LEWIS, Peel (Carleton Co.) Oct. 3rd, Jane THOMAS widow of Benjamin THOMAS, 88th year. Sister Thomas was the last surviving member of the Rockland Baptist Church, having with ten others been organized into said church Oct. 25th, 1833 by the late Rev. David Crandal of Springfield, Kings Co. Deceased was a native of St. John, coming to Carleton Co. when quite young with her first husband, the late Job. S. LEWIS, by whom she leaves a large number of children, grand and great-grandchildren.
