Montreal papers announced the death on Sunday last of Theodore WICHTENDAHL. The deceased will be well remembered by many of the older residents of this city. He came here as bandmaster with the 33rd Regt. and at once took an active and prominent place in the musical life of the city. He had many pupils and was a general favorite. While here he married Margaret STACKHOUSE d/o late James STACKHOUSE of Carleton (St. John) and with the regiment remained here some years. He and his wife went to Halifax with his regiment and afterwards to England. Then he returned to St. John and removed to Montreal. He had two daughters, both of whom are married.
