Sheffield (Sunbury Co.) Sept. 24 - John K. GILBERT, one of Sheffield's oldest and respected residents, died after much suffering 21st inst. His remains were taken yesterday to Springhill (York Co.) to be buried beside his beloved wife, who was a Miss MURRAY. John K. Gilbert was one of the six young men who left Sheffield nearly forty years ago for the gold fields of Australia in the "Chibucto". Whitehead BARKER, whop preceded him a few weeks ago to the spirit world, was also one of the party. They all returned to their native land. Two still survive.
