Fifteen witnesses have been examined in the inquest on the body of a woman found in the shed on King St., St. Stephen (Charlotte Co.) on Monday last. The woman was identified as Martha McKANE alias Mrs. KNIGHT and she has been traced to about a week before she was found dead. - St. Stephen (Charlotte Co.) 2nd June - verdict: That she came to her death by secreting herself on the premises of William OWEN and from exposure, exhaustion and want of food.
