John SHANNON of Wicklow Parish (Carleton Co.) died at his residence Thursday 2nd inst. He was ploughing all day and retired to bed in the eve. in his usual health, spoke to his son at 12 o'clock midnight and sometime between that hour and the time for rising he expired, without rousing his wife who was alseep by his side in the bed. He was found with his hands clasped on his breast and his legs drawn up.
