On Monday morn. 9th inst., Joshua A. READ, Bayside, Botsford (West. Co.) went out to the field where his sons were working. He was seized with a sudden pain in his head, hastily returned to his house and fell senseless at his bedside. He died in an hour, age 70. He was a brother of B.A. READ, Esq. of this place. In this issue we record the death of his eldest sister, Mrs. FILLMORE of Maple Park, Kane Co., Illinois. She emigrated to Illinois with her husband, John FILLMORE some 40 years ago and had reached the age of 82 years. They were descendants of Benjamin A. READ, one of the first settlers of this parish.
