Dr. John T. HOWE who died yesterday from consumption and acute pneumonia, No. 48 West 24th Street, although only 29 years old, was well known in the medical fraternity. He was the son of David P. HOWE of Province of New Brunswick, who is the author of an English grammar and was at one time editor of the 'Colonial Times', Chatham. Dr. Howe graduated two years ago from University Medical College and entered into practice with the brother, the late Dr. Jos. W. HOWE who was at one time professor of clinical surgery in the University Medical College. Dr. Jos. Howe was stricken with apoplexy and died on board the "Umbria" one day out from New York on June 7 last. - Tuesday New York's 'Herald' - We believe Dr. John T. Howe was the last survivor of a large family, nearly all of whom died of consumption inherited from their mother.
