Yarmouth 'Times' - One the remarkable people whose great age and rugged, vigorous health have made this country noticeable, peacefully passed away Sunday night in the person of Mrs. Jacob HATFIELD. The deceased was a d/o Capt. Samuel KELLEY of Kelley's Cove. Her husband, the late Jacob Hatfield, J.P., died in 1884. For the past 5 or 6 years Mrs. Hatfield had been living with her son-in-law, W.A. PORTER in town and none who saw her would have supposed that she was bordering on the hundred. Three days before her death she was about as usual, then came a rapid breakup and a painless death. The deceased had a large family, all of whom are living, several children and great-grandchildren. Her family were: Jacob K. HATFIELD, Yarmouth; Capt. Samuel HATFIELD and Warden A.M. HATFIELD of Arcadia; Mrs. Jacob UTLEY, Sandbeach; Mrs. Wm A. PORTER, Yarmouth; Mrs. Murray w/o J.D. MURRAY, Redbank, N.B.; John H. HATFIELD of Hatfield, Cameron & Co., Glasgow; E.B. HATFIELD of Hatfield & Co., Liverpool, G.B. and Capt. G.A. HATFIELD, London, master of ship "Landsing", now on a voyage from Australia to San Francisco.
