St. John River, June 30th, 1783 - Return of Inhabitants of River St. John settled on lands commonly known as Gage Town: John SINNOT claims 200 acres of land by virtue of a lease from John SMYTH, Esq. of Dublin, Ireland, dated 5th March 1782 and Smyth being an original proprietor. A little land cleared but no buildings erected. Said Sinnot came over from Ireland about 2 years past.
