Andrew MOORE, an old resident of Portland (St. John) died this morn. in his bake shop on the corner of Main St. and Black Spring Road. Mr. Moore went to work this morn. between 5 and 6 o'clock and seemed to be in good health and spirits. About fifteen minutes past 9 o'clock a young woman went into the shop for a loaf of bread. The bakery is in the rear of the shop. The young woman after waiting sufficiently long to satify her that the proprietor had not heard her coming in advanced towards the door leading into the bakery when she saw Mr. Moore, who asked her to call for assistance. Geo. BROWNING, who keeps a dry goods store next door was called in. Mr. Browning found Mr. Moore upon his knees with his hands resting upon the chimbs of two flour barrels and his head lowered. The deceased was then carried upstairs and Dr. James Christie sent for, but he was unable to do anything as the vital spark had fled. The deceased had been in the bakery business about 20 years.
