The death of an old resident of Newcastle took place Tuesday last week. James HICKEY was born in the city of Limerick, Ireland, came to this country in 1827, landing at Newcastle in July of that year and has resided here ever since. He has worked in the lumber woods with most of the prominent lumbermen of the county of the last fifty years.
