Among the crew of the American warship "Baltimore", assaulted at Valparaiso recently by Chilians was a Charlottetown P.E.I. man named William TURNBULL, 23 years old. Turnbull was a coal heaver in Baltimore. He enlisted at Boston on the 18th September 1889. During the disturbance Turnbull was wounded in the back 18 times and has since died from his injuries. The father of the deceased was a veteran coasting captain well known in Nova Scotia - Mondays, Charlottetown 'Guardian'.
