Linus SEELY mortally wounded on Sheffield St. (St. John). From the most reliable sources it appears that Linus SEELY and Archibald ROGERS walked into Woodworths tavern, Sheffield St. about 4:15 yesterday afternoon. At once they began to have angry words together when the proprietor ordered them to leave and they did so. Two others, Joseph GILLESPIE and William DEMILLE were met with after SEELY and ROGERS had proceeded a few yards. ROGERS walked to the middle of the street, pulling a revolver as he did so ... The wounded man will be remembered as connected with the "Chesapeake" piracy trial. (see original)
