Andovr (Victoria Co.) Nov. 5 - On Oct. 22nd, election day, a number of young men of this place who were under the influence of liquor, got into a discussion on the political situation. Things got very warm and soon blows were struck. The row terminated with severe injuries to Walter SCOTT, age 25, unmarried, and living with his mother and sisters. His injuries were severe, having had a piece of his skull knocked in and his brain could be readily seen through the large hole which had been made behind the ear. A doctor was summoned and dressed the wound. Scott's condition grew worse, blood poisoning and Erysipelas set in, and in six days from the time he received the wound, he was a corpse. The funeral was once of the largest that has taken place here for many years. The Masonic lodge, of which deceased was a member, turned out in full force.
