George W. HOBEN died last night in his home in Swan Creek. He has been in poor health for some time and confined to his bed during the last fortnight of his life. Deceased was 78 years old and a native of Queens Co. In his day he was extensively engaged in lumbering. Latterly he has been leading a quiet life. A widow, three daughters and four sons survive him. The sons are Henry HOBEN, conductor on the Gibson branch train; Enoch HOBEN, clerk in H.C. Jewett's grocery store; Reuben HOBEN and John HOBEN. The daughters are Mrs. Cyrus BURPEE, Upper Burton and Misses Sarah HOBEN and Georgie HOBEN, living at home. The funeral takes place Sunday morn. 11 o'clock.
