The unexpected death at Derby (North. Co.) of W.T. CROCKER, after two days sickness, was a heavy blow to his family and friends. He was attacked by pneumonia on Monday and died on Wednesday afternoon. He was a member of Northumberland Lodge, F. & A.M., also a member of Nelson Division Sons of Temperance, Derby. His remains were interred in the private burial ground of the SAUNDERS family. The services in the church were conducted by by rector, Rev. R.W. Hudgell, assisted by Rev. D. Forsyth, Chatham and Rev. J.H.S. Sweet of Newcastle. The following were pall bearers T.W. CROCKER, John BETTS, James RANDLE, Malcolm AMOS, Allan A. DAVIDSON, J.H. PHINNEY. The river was crossed in one of the barges of the Extract works. The deceased was book keeper at the Miller Extract works at Millerton. He leaves a wife, six children.
