The death is announced of H.C. PRESTON at his residence Sewall St. Thursday morn. The deceased, who was 73 years old, was one of the oldest physicians in this city and enjoyed a large lucrative practice. During the past few years, in consequence of ill health, Dr. Preston has not been able to practice his profession. The deceased was a graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, Conn. in 1841 and the New York University in 1844. After graduating with the degrees of B.A., M.A. and M.D., he was editor of the Homeopathic Journal of New York for a number of years. He came here from Providence, R.I. in 1858. He leaves a family of five sons and one daughter. The sons are Dr. A.G. PRESTON, Brooklyn, N.Y.; William C.F. PRESTON, Troy, N.Y.; Dr. A.E. PRESTON and Albert L. PRESTON of this city and Thomas S. PRESTON, Boston. Annie L. PRESTON, the daughter, resided with her father.
