Yesterday the mortal remains of Capt. William SLOAN were committed to their last resting place in Rural Cemetery; the funeral ceremonies performed by the Masonic fraternity. As stated in the 'News' yesterday the refusal of the Roman Catholic denomination to inter the remains was not known until a late hour. The Pall bearers were: John ROOP, James KNOX, William PATTERSON, Hugh POWER, J.H. FOUGHT and W.W. McFETERS. The Masonic burial services were performed by Rev. Sprague.
