A terrible tragedy occurred at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday eve. at St. Mary's, opposite this city. During the afternoon, Fred TITUS, who was a workman on the new school house, was drinking and in company with Sandy ATKINSON went into McMichael's barber shop and soon got into an argument with Odbur McMICHAEL, the proprietor. Odbur McMichael is a large man upwards of 70 years of age, brother of Augustus McMICHAEL and the late Kate McMICHAEL, keeper of the oyster saloon here for years. Charles, who prompty admitted firing the rifle, is a quiet looking lad about 17 years of age. (see original for account of murder of Fred Titus) (see also 19 Oct. 1892 NBR 'The Murder Examination', Nov. 2, 1892 'They Are Sent Up')
