A sad fatality occurred at Jardineville (Kent Co.) Friday eve. by which George GOULD, age 9 years, lost his life. He was helping with the farm work and was assisting in unloading a cart load of potatoes at the greenhouse. After the cart had been placed in position he went to the hind end of it to help dump the potatoes, when the horse suddenly started backwards and the lad's head was caught between the cart and the greenhouse. A doctor was at once sent for and every attention rendered the poor boy, but his brain had been crushed and his lived only fifteen minutes after the accident. A coroner's jury empanelled Saturday under the direction of Dr. Doherty, Coroner, returned a verdict of accidental death.
