We observe by the Huron 'Daily Times' that John K. HANNAY, formerly a resident of Saint John is the Republican candidate for Probate Judge of Beadle County, Dakota, U.S., where Huron is the county town. -John K. Hannay is 34 years of age. He was admitted to practice law before the Illinois Supreme Court Oct. 30, 1871. In 1872 he formed a partnership in the law business with Robert J. MITCHELL, a college class-mate and a friend of President GARFIELD. For four years prior to 1880 he was associeted with M. FREEMAN. In 1880 he came to Huron on the recommendation of B.F. CASS, arriving her June 9th. He has been engaged in the work of developing the agricultural resources and many of the best farmers of the county were brought here by his efforts. For some time he has been Teasurer of the Huron Board of Education.
