The people of this vicinity were shocked last Monday morn. to hear that Wm GIRVAN, Galloway (Kent Co.) had been found in bed with his throat cut from ear to ear. Mr. Girvan's wife died last spring, since which time he has been living with his adopted son, a young man of about 20. A coroner's jury was impanelled before Coroner I.W. Doherty, M.D. B.A. d'OILOQUI, M.D., John W. GIRVAN (son of the deceased), Wm SMITH, Samuel GIRVAN and Thomas GIRVAN were sworn and detailed the facts as above. Deceased was 69 years of age.
