After a lingering illnes, Hon. G.S. TURNER, M.P. for Albert Co.) died in Victoria Hospital, Fredericton early Monday morn. The 'Parliamentary Companion' says - Hon. Turner was the son of Isaac TURNER and Elizabeth COLPITTS. He was born in Albert Co., 12 Aug. 1838 where he was educated. Married 18 August 1876, Lucy E. STILES and engaged in ship-building and merchandising. First returned to Legislature in general election 1878, re-elected at general election 1882 and 1886. Again at last general election. Appointed member of Executive Council 3 March 1883, but resigned on account of differences with the government. Liberal-Conservative, Harvey, Albert Co. - Mr. Turner had been engaged as a ship buidler at Harvey Bank since 1877. He built a number of large vessels, including the ships "Revolving Light", "Earl Granville", "Constance", "Vandalia" and "Corings" and barks "Salacia", "Serrano", 'Egerus", "Latorn" and "Galatea". The funeral took place at Harvey. He was interred with masonic honors.
