Douglas Harbour (Queens Co.) Dec. 9 - At Clarke's Corner a short time since, James JEWETT died at the age of 76. He resided at Lakeville Corner (Sunbury Co.) for about 40 years where he occupied an important position in the social and religious affairs of the place, being a devoted member of the Baptist church during his entire life and about 30 years previous to his death he was deacon of the same church. He leaves two children (one son who resides at Lakeville Corner) and one daughter who married William HUNTER and at whose home he lived for two years and a half to his demise. His remains were interred at Lakeville, Rev. Noble officiating.
