Centreville (Carleton Co.) Aug. 14 - L.A. WHITE and G.N. WHITE, with the family of the former, who have been sojourning with their parents and relatives at Centreville, left for their home in northern Michigan 14th inst. The former left his native home 15 years ago and without friends or money located among strangers, where by natural and acquired ability, he won the respect of all with whom he has become acquainted, the people appreciating his ability by electing him at four successive elections to the highest office in the county, and where he is married and is comfortably located in a home of his own. A few years after his brother, G.N. followed him to the states and under his direction and fostering care is engaged in the mercantile business with Frank ESTEY of Wickolow, both of whom are prospering commercially and politically.
