House of Assembly - Hon. David McLELLAN, Provincial Secretary, was born in Portland (St. John) Jan. 20, 1832. His father was a ship builder from Dumfries, Scotland. He received his education in St. John. Was married in 1865 to Fannie B. RICHARDS d/o Henry RICHARDS of St. John. He is a member of the firm McLellan & Holly, lumber dealers. He was appointed member of the Executive Council and Provincial Secretary, 28th July 1883, succeeding the late Hon. William Elder. He is also President of the Board of Agriculture. Was first returned to the House of Assembly at general election of 1878. Was re-elected the following general election. Was returned on appointment of office at last general election.
