Charlottetown 'Examiner' - The 'Monitour Acadien' has issued a series of interesting papers relating to the history of early settlers in Acadia. There died at Cocagne (Kent Co.) N.B. 15th Nov. 1882 Dame Adelaide DesRoches GUEGUEN, widow of Cyrille GUENGUEN aged 87 years. Her parents were Jean DESROCHES and Esther BASTARACHE. This Jean DesRoches was son of Julien DESROCHES who lived on his farm at Port la Joie in the early days of English occupation of Isle St. Jean (today P.E.I.) (see original for complete family history)
