The 'Halifax Chronicle' has received a latter from Glynwood Springs, Colorado containing intelligence of the murder of a Nova Scotian named B.F. GRANT who 'met an untimely death at the hands of some desperados who are now in prison.' He was tending bar at the Bender Hotel at the time and got on a little spree. Some of his friends think he had considerable money about him and the public opinion is that he was murdered for the purpose of securing the amount. Grant was killed at 7 o'clock in the eve. of April 11. I think his relatives are in Hants or Colchester Co., N.S. and if you can find them out, his remains are subject to their order. The body was been respectfully buried and all his effects are in custody of Mr. Bender awaiting the direction of his friends.
