Samuel Denny STREET, Third Clerk of House of Assembly ... Mr. Streey had two daughters; one married Nathaniel HUBBARD; the other George D. BERTON. He had ten sons. Thomas G. STREET, Captain in the East India Company, had two, Samuel Denny died at St. George in 1837, age 22 years and George D., a member of the Bar at St. Andrews, died 1882, age 70 years. Another son of Samuel Denny Street, Samuel Denny died at Tobago, 1803, in his 21st year. Alfred L. STREET, a member of the Bar and Surrogate at St. John, died at St. Andrews. S.D. Lee STREET for 30 years was rector of Woodstock. William H. STREET was a merchant at St. John, ex-mayor and one of the city representatives in the Legislature. Another son, James STREET was a merchant at St. Andrews. Two sons, Edwin STREET and Charles STREET followed the plough at the old homestead, Sunbury. The two most distinguished of the sons were George Frederick STREET and John Ambrose STREET, the former at his death, 1855, one of the Judges of the Supreme Court; the other for 20 years one of the members for Northumberland County and from 1851 to the fall 1854 Attorney General. ... Samuel Denny Street was thick set, short in stature, wore a cue, knee breeches and gaiters. For many years he resided at Fredericton; in his latter days at the Elysian Fields, Sunbury.
