To Editor of "Daily Evening Globe" - Sir: As a friend and relative of Colonel WHEELER who was lately staying at my house and left this for England about 3 weeks ago, I desire to give a flat contradiction in your paper last evening that he "was a party" to the plot for capturing the "Chesapeake" or to any other plot against the Federal Government while here. He seldom left my house without some member of my family being with him and he was a man of too high character to attend meetings "somewhere in Lower Cove."
