We announce the death of George RYAN, Esq. which took place at his residence, Studholm (Kings Co.) on Saturday. He was born at Point de Bute (West. Co.) on 12th August 1806. He removed to Kings Co. in 1814. He sat for Kings Co. in the N.B. House of Assembly from 1850 until 1852 when he was defeated in the Prohibitory liquor law question. He sat again in the House from 1861 to 1865 when he was defeated on the Confederation question. He became a member again in 1866, but resigned in 1867 in order to run for the Commons of Canada. He was elected to the Commons and sat until the dissolution of the House in 1872. He was re-elected again in that year and was afterwards appointed Pay Master for the Intercolonial Railway.
