Mary GOODINE who died at Kingsclear (York Co.) last Wednesday, was born of French parentage about 50 or 55 years ago. She had no arms nor hands, legs of feet, or at least none in any way developed. Her body was full size and her senses good. She was a very intelligent girl, conversing freely in both French and English. Early in life she developed a fondness for sewing. She astonished her relatives by beginning to sew with her mouth. Finally she became so expert that she could cut the material with scissors, thread the needle and then do fine sewing, using only her mouth for all operations. She pieced a number of quilts and could even make one known as the 'log cabin' variety, a most difficult task to perform.
