'Courier', 25th Sept., 1819 - On Thursday last pursuant to his sentence at the supreme court held in the city, John COREY, who was convicted of a revolting misdemeanor, stood in the pillory one hour in the Market Square; during which he was heartily pelted with eggs, rotten apples etc. He appeared to be callous to every sense of feeling and decency. The spectators were numerous and to a reflecting mind, the scene was solemn and impressive.
