A telegram to A. LOVITT, Esq. dated New York, 12th inst., conveys the intelligence that both the first and second mates of barque "Frank Lovitt" of this port, fell from aloft that day and were killed. The "Frank Lovitt" arrived at New York on the previous day from England. The first mate was Charles only surviving s/o Benj. WILLIAMS of (St. John). He was promoted to the command of the "Frank Lovitt" on her next voyage. His remains are to be brought to Yarmouth, N.S. for interment. The second mate was a Virginian named CARRUTHERS - Yarmouth 'Tribune'.
