The funeral of the late James WILLIAMS of Portland (St. John) took place this afternoon from his residence, Main St. The following gentlemen were the pall bearers: C.H. FAIRWEATHER, Henry MAXWELL, John COLEMAN, James HARRIS, Wm KENNEDY, Wm LOGAN. Revs. Benjamin Chappell, H. McKeown and Dr. Addy conducted the services. The remains were interred in Rural Cemetery. (Rural Cemetery is today called Fernhill Cemetery located on Westmorland Road, East Saint John)
