John H. GANTER, one of the pioneer settlers of Red Rapids (Victoria Co.) passed peacefully away Tuesday last. His widow has the sympathy of all on the Tobique River. Mr. Ganter built the first mill in the colony, but of late has devoted his time to farming. Rev. Hopkins preached an able funeral sermon. The pall bearers were Enoch GRANT, John ROBINSON, Thomas KNOWLES, Abraham CRONKHITE, Wm CRAWFORD and E. PURCHASE. Red. Rapid Settlement, Feb. 21st.
