Donald s/o Donald McMILLAN, Esq. of Black Lands (Rest. Co.) died Monday 23rd ult. at Detroit, Michigan, age 28. About seven years ago he attended the Normal School, Fredericton. After teaching a few years in his native province he went to British Columbia, chiefly in search of a more congenial climate for his health. There he taught school. He made a public profession of faith in Rev. McGregor's congregation, Victoria. With a view of obtaining a climate more suitable to his precarious health, he went to New Zealand. There again he taught public school. It was his ardent desire to devote himself to the Gospel Ministry. At length his health began to decline very rapidly. He was compelled to relinquish his duties as a teacher and abandon all thoughts of studying for the service of the Church.. He made up his mind to return to his native land. On his way home he rested with kind friends in California. He reached Detroit on 22nd ult. exhausted by the long journey. He was taken to Cass Hotel where he was attended by the proprietor, E. FERGUSON, Esq. and family, although all strangers to him. He died the following day. His remains arrived at the Black Lands on the 26th. His funeral took place the 28th.
